Dr. Bob Quilez DDS
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but grew up an hour from Richmond in Yorktown, Va. Attended VCU for undergraduate studies and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia in 2005. Dr. Quilez has been practicing at Drs. Oley and Quilez DDS PLC since 2005. Dentistry has become his passion.
Being the most experienced dentist at our location, practices all phases of general dentistry for adults and children including preventitive, restorative, emergency, and cosmetic dentistry.
An active member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Give kids a Smile programs, and frequently visits local schools and church groups to educate children on the importance of dental hygiene. Dentistry has been part of his life even before becoming a dentist. While in college he trained to become a Certified Dental Assistant and was the first dental student to practice Dental Hygiene in Virginia under the supervision of MCV, but in private practice.
For fun he enjoys playing with his daugter, dogs, exercising, outdoors, reading, college sports (go Rams!), professional sports (Go Eagles!), and almost any DIY project. Dr. Quilez's wife, Irene Quilez, is a Registered Dental Hygienist and MCV graduate as well! Dentistry is truely a part of our family.
Dr. George A. Oley DDS
George A. Oley, III is the fourth of seven children of George and Rose Oley, Richmond natives, who owned and operated a restaurant. Dr. Oley was educated at St. Benedict’s parochial school, Thomas Jefferson High School, University of Richmond, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in 1975 and A Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia in 1979. Dr. Oley founded this practice in 1979, in 1995 he built the building in which the practice is now located.
Dr. Oley married Siham Haboush, an elementary school teacher, who immigrated from Lebanon in 1975. They have two children Reba, a junior at MCV, and George, IV, a senior at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Oley is a member of the Richmond Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He is a member of St. Anthony’s Church, St. Charbel, and is a member of the Caldwell Society ut prosum. He is in the Hokie Club and MCV alumni association. Dr. Oley does pro bono work for Little Sister’s of the Poor and the New River Dental Clinic.
His major interests include the five “F’s”, family, faith, friends, football and food. His hobbies include reading non-fiction, the Civil War, cooking and eating.
Dr. Ralph H.B. “Chip” Anderson, better known to his patients as Dr. Chip, followed in his father’s footsteps, pursuing a career in orthodontics. He has been practicing for 12 years and started working with his father in 1997. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Hampton University and enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he became a Captain. While stationed in Ft. Ord, California, he decided to enroll at the Medical College of Virginia to become a dentist and continue the family practice. Dr. Chip earned his dental degree from MCV at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, and then completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Like his father, he also accomplished a ‘first.’ Dr. Chip was the first African-American to finish the orthodontic residency program at the University of Louisville. Dr. Chip is well-respected in the orthodontic community as he is board certified.
Away from the office, Dr. Chip enjoys football, golf, video games and volunteering with Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and the Leukemia Society.
Dr. Kime A. Whitman is from Great Falls, Virginia. She graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Biology with honors. She obtained her education as a dentist from Virginia Commonwealth University. Upon Graduation she began her career practicing in Virginia Beach, but missed Richmond so much she had to move back.
In addition to caring for her patients, Dr. Whitman enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing the piano. Some of her drive and motivation stems from her training as a competitive figure skater. When it comes to sports, her favorite team to cheer for is the Washington Capitols.
Dr. Jennie Tran
Dr. Jennifer C. Tran was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She attended Bishop O’Connell High School and pursued her undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she graduated with honors and first fell in love with Richmond. In fact, she loved Richmond so much she went on to attend VCU/MCV School of Dentistry! While in dental school, she developed relationships with patients that reinforced her desire to practice compassionate and patient-driven care. She has volunteered in her spare time on many mission trips, both locally and globally, to help those less fortunate and aims to continue this in the future. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with the love of her life, Bryan, and their puppy, Paisley, as well as exercising and exploring all that Richmond has to offer. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
